Recipe List for 30 Freezer Meals in One day

Alrighty, so here are the recipe's I used for my 30 freezer meals in 1 day experiment! I must say, considering I now have a flu bug, I can't tell you how happy my husband and I are that dinner is ready without sicky here touching anything!

 I found some on the internet, and the rest I found in the "Dinner is Ready" book. (www.dinnerisready.com) I modified ALL of them because I am a picky eater. I don't like onions, or most veggies for that matter. So, you may want to get the book and revert to the normal recipes or add some onions or other yucky junk that you like. :)  See my last blog post about how to go about making 30 meals in one day!

1.
Cream Cheese Chicken
Dinner Is Ready
Slow Cooker
Dinner - Main Dish
1 1 oz env Italian dressing mix
1/2 cup butter
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
1 10.75 oz can cream of chicken soup
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
Turn slow cooker on High. Melt butter in bottom of slow cooker. Stir in Italian dressing mix. Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch strips. Place in slow cooker and stir to coat with butter and dressing mix. Cover and cook on High for 2 hours. Remove chicken to plate to cool. Add cream of chicken soup and cream cheese. Stir to melt and mix until smooth and creamy. Remove sauce from slow cooker and allow to cool. Place chicken and sauce into freezer bag. Label and freeze.
To serve: Thaw. Heat and stir until smooth, hot and bubbly.

Swiss Steak and Gravy

Dinner - Main Dish
3 Tbl flour
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 lbs beef round steak
3 Tbl canola oil
2 cups onion, sliced
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 Tbl sugar
2 Tbl Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
Combine flour, garlic salt, and pepper. Mix well. Coat steak with flour mixture. Pound with a meat mallet. Turn meat over and continue to pound in as much flour as the meat will hold. Quickly brown steak on all sides in hot oil. Layer browned steak and sliced onion in a slow cooker. Mix beef broth, sugar and Worcestershire. Pour over all. Cover, cook on High for 4 hours. Remove steak to cool. Whisk flour into beef broth. Add salt and pepper. Pour into slow cooker and mix well. Heat to boil and stir until thick and bubbly. Remove gravy and allow to cool. Put steak and gravy into freezer bag. Label and freeze.
To serve: Thaw. Heat until hot and bubbly.

Baked Chicken-Bacon alfredo

Dinner - Pasta
8 ozes penne pasta
1 jar alfredo sauce
2 chicken breasts, chopped
6 ozes bacon, chopped
1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Prepare pasta according to package directions minus 2 minutes. drain and add to alfredo sauce. Toss with chopped chicken, bacon and 1/2c mozzarella. Add salt and pepper to taste.
transfer mixture to an 8 x8 disposable alumninum baking pan and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until heated through and cheese is bubbly.

Beefy Spanish Rice

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 tsp garlic, minced
2 Tbl butter
1 cup rice, uncooked
2 1/2 cups beef broth
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp pepper
Brown ground beef wth bell pepper and garlic. Remove from skillet. Melt butter in skillet and stir in rice. Cook and stir rice for about 5 minutes until golden. Return beef and vegetables to pan. Add beef broth, salt, sugar, chili powder and pepper. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool. Place in freezer bag. Label and freeze.
To serve: Thaw. Heat through.

Shepherd's Pie

1 lb ground beef
1 can cream of chicken soup
12 ozes frozen corn
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 cups potato, mashed
1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
mix browned meat with soup, season with salt pepper, and garlic powder. Layer meat mixture in the bottom of an 8x8 baking dish. top with veggies. Spoon mashed potatoes on top of veggies. (Or prepare these just before serving.) Sprinkle potatoes with cheese.
Thaw in fridge, then bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 min. Potatoes will be golden brown with bubbly cheese

Italian Roast

Slow Cooker
Dinner - Main Dish
1 4 lb beef roast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 1.25 oz env spaghetti sauce mix
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
2 Tbl butter
2 Tbl flour
Season roast with salt. Place in slow cooker. Add garlic, mushrooms and onion. Combine spaghetti sauce mix and tomato sauce. Pour over roast and vegetables. Cover and cook on Low 10 to 12 hours or on High for 6 hours. Remove from slow cooker. Melt butter in sauce pan. Add flour. Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly. Add sauce. Cook until thick and bubbly. Add sliced or shredded roast. Allow to cool. Place in freezer bag. Label and freeze.
To serve: Thaw. Heat and serve.

Taco Pie

Dinner - Main Dish
1 lb lean ground beef
1 1.25 oz env taco seasoning
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 8 oz can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup black beans
2 Tbl water
2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 10.5 oz bag corn chips, crushed
1 cup sour cream
Brown ground beef with onion. Add taco seasoning, olives and tomato sauce. Unroll crescent roll dough and press together perforations. Press onto bottom and up sides of a foil baking pan. Heat refried beans and mix with water to make spreadable. Spread over crust. Top with half of the cheese. Cover crust with half of the crushed corn chips. Spoon meat mixture over corn chips. Cover with sour cream. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Top with remaining corn chips. Cover with extra heavy foil. Label and Freeze.
To serve: Thaw. Bake uncovered 45 minutes at 375บ.

Black Bean Taco Soup

1 lb ground beef
1 package taco seasoning
1 16 oz frozen corn
1 16 oz black beans, drained
Brown meat and let cool. Dump into gallon freezer bag. dump remaining ingredients in bag, mx together and freeze.
Thaw in fridge for 24 hours. Cook on HIGH for 1-2 hours or LOW for 2-3 1/2 hours in slow cooker.
Serve with tortilla chips cheese and sour cream

Crockpot BBQ Meatballs

1 lb ground turkey
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
Sitr together the turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic and salt and pepper to taste. Use your hands to roll them into small meatballs. Place meatballs in crockpot. In a small bowl, mix together remaining ingrediants for the sauce. Pour over meatballs. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.Cool and freeze.
thaw, then place in crockpot on high for 2-4 hours. Or heat on stovetop on medium until throughly cooked.

French Dip Sandwhiches

Dinner - Sandwiches
1 2.5-3 lb beef roast
2 tbsps olive oil
2 1 ozes dry soup mix
2 cans beef broth
2 cups water
10 hoagie rolls
1 sliced cheese
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. While the oil is heating, season the roast with salt and pepper. Place the roast in the hot oil and sear the roast on all sides. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Place the cooled roast in a gallon sized Ziploc bag. Sprinkle with the dry soup mix and the beef broth. Freeze.
Place the roast in a slow cooker and add 2 cups of water. Cook on high for 7-9 hours or low for 9-11 hours. Shred. Place shredded meat on hoagie rolls with cheese. Serve with juice from the slow cooker.

1 1 lb ground beef
3 1/2 cups tomato sauce
2 cups carrots, sliced
1 tsp salt
1 bay leaf
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, cubed
Brown Ground Beef. Add Tomatoe Sauce, Carrots, salt and bay leaf. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Allow to cool. Remove bay leaf. (Do not add cheese until serving.) Place in freezer bag or container. Label and Freeze. 6 servings
Cheese can be cubed and added in seperate bag and frozen with meal.
To Serve: Thaw. Heat just to boiling. remove from heat and add cheese. Serve with cheese partially melted.

Cola Chicken

2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
1 cup onion, chopped
2 Tbl canola oil
1 12 oz can cola flavored soda
1 cup ketchup
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 Tbl cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
Cut chicken into strips. Brown chicken and onion in oil. Add cola, ketchup, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Remove chicken. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water. Stir into simmering sauce. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Allow to cool. Place chicken and sauce in freezer bag. Label and freeze.
To serve: Thaw. Heat until chicken is hot throughout and sauce is smooth and bubbly.

Bacon Hashbrown Breakfast Wraps

Breakfast - Finger Foods
1 cup bacon, crumbled
12 eggs
2 cups hashbrowns, thawed
1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
8 tortillas
Heat a large skillet, over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray and brown bacon and hashbrowns. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs. pour into skillet with bacon and potatoes and cook over medium heat stirring occasionally.
Spoon into tortillas sprinkle with cheese and roll up in tortillas.
Wrap in wax paper or foil and place in freezer bag
Remove wrapping, place in mircrowave for 1-2 minutes.

Cinnamon Apple Pancakes

2 cups pancake mix
1 cup water
1 cup apple, chopped
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp sugar
In a medium bowl mix pancake mix, water, apples, cinnamon and sugar. Pour the batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto greased hot griddle. Cook, then cool completely. Separate pancakes with wax paper and freeze.
remove desired number of pancakes from freezer. Microwave on 50% power for 30-45 seconds per cake or until warm.

Apple cinnamon Pull apart rolls

Breakfast - Main Dish
4 packages biscuit dough
3 cups sugar
1/4 cup cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup applesauce
1 cup apple, diced
Lightly grease an 8x8 deep dish pan. In a large zippered bag mix together 2 cups sugar, cinnamon and apples. Open biscuits and cut each one into 4 pieces. Put the biscuit pieces into the mixture and shake until they are completely coated. Add in the applesauce and shake again. Arrange in pans. sir 1 cup of sugar into the melted butter. Pour evenly over pan. Cover and Freeze.
Thaw, Bake at 375 for 45 minutes until top is golden brown

Peachy Chicken

Dinner - Main Dish
1 10.75 oz can tomato soup
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbl canola oil
1 Tbl Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbl ground mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
1 29 oz can sliced peaches
In a saucepan, combine tomato soup, honey, vinegar, brown sugar, oil and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Whisk in ground mustard, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Arrange chicken and drained peaches in greased baking dish. Pour sauce over chicken. Bake for 30 minutes at 350บ. Turn chicken and bake 30 minutes longer, basting frequently. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Place in freezer bag. Label and freeze.
To serve: Thaw. Heat until sauce is bubbly and chicken is heated through.
